Modern Slavery Policy

Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Apelson Appliances UK Ltd is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking within its business operations and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to act ethically and with integrity, and to take appropriate steps to ensure that slavery and human trafficking do not take place in our organisation or in the businesses we work with.

Apelson operates in the appliance sector, supplying kitchen appliances and related products to customers in the UK. Our activities include sourcing products, distribution, sales, marketing, and aftersales support. Our supply chains include manufacturers, logistics providers, and service partners, some of which operate outside the UK.

We operate a zero tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking and expect all suppliers, contractors, and business partners to uphold the same standards. We require compliance with all applicable laws relating to employment rights, working conditions, and human rights.

We take a risk based approach to managing modern slavery within our supply chains. This involves considering supplier location, sector, and the nature of goods or services provided, working with established suppliers that operate recognised compliance standards, and seeking appropriate assurances regarding labour practices. Where concerns are identified, we reserve the right to review supplier practices and take appropriate action.

We recognise that the risk of modern slavery can vary depending on geography, industry, and labour intensity. We monitor and review supplier relationships where risks may be higher and take steps to address any issues identified. The effectiveness of our approach is reviewed through ongoing assessment of supplier information, consideration of any reported concerns, and periodic review of our policies and procedures.
